#13 The son she didn’t have

She checked the pockets of the clothes as she put them to wash. There was a paper folded over a few times in the pockets of his jeans.

 

It was a number with a girl’s name…

 

He hadn’t eaten last night’s dinner. He must have been out with his friends at one of those new clubs.

 

She wondered what this girl was like. She had liked the last one. The girl dressed respectfully and always wished her.

 

She might be just his maid but she treated him like her son. She couldn’t let him end up with the wrong girl.
