#4 Childhood Lessons

His fingers were sticky.

His mother had always told him, he was a messy child.

The tissue felt soggy. It had absorbed more than it was meant to. Little pieces stuck to his fingers.

He didn’t notice much of it.

The puppy alternated between barking and whining, his big doleful eyes watching Mark’s every move.

Waiting..

Willing a drop to fall..

One bite and Mark finished the remaining icecream.

As the puppy turned his sad eyes to walk away, Mark whistled and sat down. The puppy licked his fingers clean and he remembered his mother’s words, ”Share everything you have”.
